A tennis player, a soccer player, a blind man and a normal person live next to each other. The normal person decides to take a shower.
Suddenly she hears someone knocking on the door. She grabs a towel and opens the door. It's the tennis player saying: congratulate me, I won the championship yesterday. She congratulates and gets back under the shower.

Suddenly she hears someone knocking on the door. She knows the soccer and tennis player were already there, so she knows it can only be the blind man at the door. She opens the door without a towel around her. The blind man says: congratulate me, I can see again!
Here is the real funny part. When I heard this joke from a seven year old, she didn't just say a normal person. She said everytime: "a normal person, but I don't really know what that means."
On one hand our views are learned and not innate. On the other I forgot most of what I memorized in school. It might help to forget your view on someone if they want to change.
It might help you. The question "who do I want to be" is not "who do I want to be and stay the same".
