In search of laughter

In school my friend David and I always sat during our math exams next to each other. This annoyed our teacher and class mates a lot. From the first ten minutes till the end of our exam we were able to make each other laugh with just one word. It wasn't a particular word that had this effect on us. It was more of an arrangement each one of us made with ourselves. We have decided to search for a laugh in any situation. Now, the joke he saw within a situation didn't always align with the one I saw. However, we always saw one. And not just during our math exams (or any other exam) but generally in life. I think we both realized an obvious idea. Laughing feels great and when we laugh all of our worries seem to fade away. Yes, just for a few seconds but nonetheless.
I may be wrong, but forcing a laugh doesn't feel great at all. So, I practiced looking for a joke in any situation. Eventually, I did enough joke searching and now they immediately pop up.
