the rise of scientific discussions

30 Years ago I could have told a researcher the following: "I will be able to write your name in a box, move my fingers a bit and have in less than 5 minutes, everything you have ever written during your career. Not only that, I will also have every document that has cited you as well." Many would be astonished.

If I tell a researcher today,"In 30 years every grad student, Phd, postdoc or proffesssor will be able to have a conversation with you anywhere all the time. Scientific discussion can happen between parties that wouldn't ever get in contact with each other and without them actively taking part. You will be able to have discussion with whoever you want, anywhere and all the time. Others will have the same opportunity.", many would be astonished.
